Ramona Fun Riders is a casual non-competitive recreational road cycling club. We ride every Friday morning (weather permitting) averaging 30-60 miles (sometimes more) around the beautiful back country, deserts, beaches, and rural areas in and around San Diego County. We favor routes where you can ride for miles and miles without stopping for lights and visit less traveled hidden roads along the way.
The first Friday of the month we feature "Big Friday" a Century ride or 90+ miles. The third Friday of the month we have "Friday Lite" an introductory easier ride. Please click on the Schedule tab above for next Friday's ride.
Although our active members are quite capable we ride mostly "Moderate" to low "Brisk" average speeds (see chart below). If you are a total hammerhead or conversely totally out of shape this is not your club. Our only goal is enjoying the outdoors while sharing the adventure of a fun, scenery filled ride. We re-group on hilltops and no one gets left behind.
MPH are average speeds and do not factor in stops.
